I am a firm believer of what makes a good photo is not the camera used, but the person behind it. I’m Giannis and to me photography is a way to expose life at its best. I’m flattered that you are interested in learning more about me, so here are a few things that you might find interesting.
I’m a wedding, event and commercial photographer based in Athens, Greece but I would happily go anywhere and everywhere to capture your heart-filled moments because I love to travel!
To me, wedding photography is so much more than just being there with a camera. It’s telling the story of your day through the camera lens, making photographs that show real moments and emotions. It’s a huge responsibility and it’s one that I enjoy.
My entire approach is based on capturing those moments and memories – not just pretty pictures. Whenever you look back at them, I want you to remember exactly how you felt at the time. Like the way a song makes you feel, or a certain scent reminds you of a particular time in your life. Each couple have a completely unique story and day and I shoot to reflect that. Some are very romantic and keen for extra time alone together while others just want to party. I photograph the day the way it happens for you through the big moments & the little details.
Of course, I work with other projects too such as portraits, filmmaking, commercial photoshoots, business events etc. All these helps me draw inspiration from every possible aspect and adapt new ideas and technics into whatever subject I work with. create together and most importantly have fun. Wedding photography to me is more than just rocking up on the day with a camera, it’s about being a people person which is why it’s so important to me that we are a good match and that we vibe together!
Embracing your own creativity and unique style, I always try to capture pictures that you will be proud to display on your walls. I am always chasing the light and most people would describe my photos as sun-warmed and natural. I also try to bring out the best of you by guiding (not posing) you when necessary. So, in short, I always try to combine candid and natural to bring out the emotion on my pictures, with some guidance where needed, to help you bring out the most beautiful side of yourself.
I’m a big fan of traveling and I always try to plan a lot of trips throughout every year that goes by. I don’t mind if it is summer or winter, locally or abroad, by car or by plane (even though I love driving). I just want to travel and meet new places. I also love food and adore a good coffee every time of the day. Last but not least I am seriously obsessed with photography (what a surprise). I am on of those people who actually made their ‘hobby’ into their dream job, and I am so proud of that. That also gives me motive to try and be better every day, to find new ideas and be creative no matter what or for how long I am photographing.
